Dr. Richard Joseph
Dr. Joseph was born in Joplin and graduated from Memorial High School in 1978, serving as student body president in his senior year. Dr. Joseph then attended MSSU and in 1981 was accepted into the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Joseph earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and then completed an orthodontic residency at St. Louis University Medical Center, earning a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) from the Graduate School of Saint Louis University in 1987. Dr. Joseph has been a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, and is a past president of the Southwest Missouri District Dental Society. Dr. Joseph has passed the Missouri Dental Board specialty examination required to be certified as a Specialist in Orthodontics.
Dr. Joseph is married and has 4 children attending school in Joplin. His family keeps busy with the charity organization Lights of Hope-JoMo, their handiwork on display at the Brace Place and most Third Thursdays. Dr. J. is a retired, semi-professional musician, playing with the Night Train band based in Joplin. He also loves numismatics, and has been a member of the Tri-State Coin Club for several years. Dr. Joseph is a long-distance road cyclist with a couple rides to Kansas City under his belt.

Janice was born in Joplin and is a certified orthodontic assistant. She began working at The Brace Place in 1996! Janice’s hobbies include spending time with her husband and two boys, going to the lake, enjoying the outdoors, gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Kimber has worked in the orthodontic field since 2019. She enjoys working as an orthodontic assistant and bonding with patients! Outside of work, Kimber enjoys spending time with her husband, baking, exercising and being outdoors.
